Jason Lam

Jason Lam is a graphic designer from San Francisco. Deriving inspiration from early narrative cinema and street photography, he believes art is a way of truth-telling. Working with still imagery, paintings, films, and montage, his practice acknowledges the act of creating is like voluntarily stepping into the unknown. With a background in dance, he emphasizes movement and exploration. Like a spectator in his own dreams, Jason Lam’s work is an invitation to encounter the unknown, while still finding a way to stay true to one’s voice.
